JESSICA’S LIFE EXPERIENCE AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Jessica’s first experience in business was around the age of 10 when her mother opened a second-hand store. Jessica learned to work with customers, she learned how to buy, price, display merchandise, and run a register. Her mother still brags about her ability to work with people at such a young age. Her mother said customers were always shocked at her capabilities as a youth. Jessica’s first real job was washing dishes at Granny’s Café in Drexel, Missouri.
Jessica has always worked hard doing whatever she needed to make ends meet. She has waitressed, delivered pizzas, taught in a preschool, worked in retail, and worked in insurance. In 2005 she received her cosmetology license she worked in a few salons but eventually opened an in-home salon so she could have more balance between home and work. Jessica obtained her license to sell real estate nearly 16 years ago and went to work shortly thereafter with a small brokerage in Pleasant Hill. Jessica currently works for The Expert Realty Company and is the Kansas City Agent Director. She sells properties all over Missouri and Kansas but does most of her work close to home and at the Lake of the Ozarks. She has used her real estate license to not only help your average buyers and sellers but has also worked with many to help grow their real estate portfolio and increase their wealth. Jessica has been a Land Agent and has Advocated for the rights of the property owners. She continues to fight for what is best for home and property owners. Jessica is a parent curriculum consultant with HomeWorks by Precept, helping parents meet the individual educational needs of each of their children. Jessica also helps the local school district by substitute teaching.
Jessica has attended Calvary University; her focus there has been in Biblical Counseling and Business. Jessica is currently a member of the Missouri Advocacy Committee, the NRA, Cass County Republican Women’s group, the National Association of Realtors, the Missouri Association of Realtors, and the Kansas City and Lake of the Ozarks Board of Realtors.
Jessica has been involved since high school in many different activities and organizations. She attended the drafting program at the Cass Career Center in high school and joined the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America. She was elected the school president her senior year and elected as the VICA Missouri State Secretary. Jessica participated in the 1995 Miss Log Cabin Competition taking the 1st runner-up spot. She then went on to compete in the Miss Missouri Pageant with her community’s full support. Jessica served as an Alderman for the City of Harrisonville. She was successful in helping Harrisonville residents and business owners alike. Jessica did not allow any increases in taxes or fees on the residents of the city during her time as Alderman. When it came time to do the budget Jessica worked hard to ensure there was no wasteful spending. In 2018 Jessica sat on the Harrisonville School district’s Attendance Committee. There she worked with the committee to gain a greater understanding of why some children were struggling to make it to school and helped to set goals and come up with ideas to help these struggling youths.
Jessica has had so much life experience in so many different things, she has insight most people do not have. Jessica understands, the government, the struggles of life to make it financially, she understands what it is to be a parent and raise children, she understands education, and the housing market. All these things she has been involved with have developed her into being a strong communicator, leader, and negotiator. She has a love and a passion for her community. Her faith in God holds her accountable for her choices. Jessica believes she has a strong ability to make a positive impact at the state level. She is asking that you put faith in her. She needs your donations to succeed in this campaign. She needs you to be boots on the ground and get her name out in Cass and Bates Counties. She will need you to show up and vote for her on August 2nd in the primary. She needs you to support her with your encouragement, your finances, your actions, and your prayers.
